George Karvounides is the founder and CEO of Karvo Companies, Inc.  His compelling story begins when he arrived to the United States as a young, non-English speaking Greek immigrant with big visions of creating his own company.  Working hard from his teenage years to adulthood where he gained experience in Akron tire plants and another paving company, George started Karvo Companies in 1989. During these initial years, he worked tirelessly at nights at his kitchen table with an expanding young family and no money or projects, but only a dream to keep him motivated.  George’s vision quickly became a reality through hard work, excellent performance, and a commitment to honoring his word through every interaction he had with colleagues who entrusted him with just a handshake. George’s commitment to hard work, strong ethics and commitment to excellence in starting the company, remains a guiding light by which Karvo continues to operate from to this day.
